Magnolia Junior Hi School Reviews
Quality Score: 1 Post Date:2008-07-16
“My son has attended Moss Point School District his entire life. I am so thankful that we are finally able to transfer him out of this district. Magnolia Jr. High is the worst school, besides Moss Point High School, on the coast. This past year, my son was constantly bullied, harassessed and provoked into fights; I had to literally force him to go to school. The students are out of control and little progress has been made in solving this problem. Some of the teachers seem to be good, but most are very uncaring and unconcerned about your child. Yet with all the discipline problems, what can you expect?” This review was posted by a parent.

“I was a student last year at MJHS and all I have got to say is that it is terrible! I do believe that there are some very good teachers there but they can't keep control of there classes. Well my point is that I would not send your kids to this school!” This review was posted by a former student.

“I think this school is awful. Some of the teachers get away with cussing the students. The teachers do not care if the kids do their homework or not. The parents find out about bad grades after it is too late to fix the problem. The students are not watched during the P.E. classes nor are they made to dress out. Its like the teachers are there to get paid and that is it. The parents are expected to make their children do their homework at home as well as at school. I have never came across a school such as this with no regards to the students.” This review was posted by a parent.

“I am a student at MJHS. I think that this an awful school. The uniform policy is way to strict and they focus on that more than actual learning. Also they talk about test scores more than anything. Like I was at a program about showing how Moss Point is talented. I sat there in a Church as the superindentent was speeking and she got out the test scores and lectured on them for a long time at a church. It makes me wonder if they care about that more than actually teaching the us something. That is why I am moving to Ocean Springs District after Christmas. Dont ever send your kids to this school much more the school district.” This review was posted by a student.
